Arabian
aromatic, essential oils are extracted using traditional steam methods
- one of preferred methods in aromatherapy. (Hot steam penetrates flower
petals, absorbing aromatic oil, which is then processed and concentrated
during a lengthy purification process.)
The most famous of these essences is Damascus Rose.
Rose petals are harvested in small villages every morning during the
season, and sold to manufacturers on wholesale souqs (see
picture below). The end product is an outstanding quality of
fresh rose scent, simply incomparable with other rose scents available
on the western market. 
There are many popular ways to use these essences (such as personal
perfume, bath scents, etc.) - or, be daring and roll some onto upholstery
or rugs (that's what is often done with Arabian carpets) and infuse
your home in the opulent scent of oriental palaces!
We have selected six fantastic scents, which were extracted by using
the hot steam method . The great advantage of this technique is that
it is so pure, leaving no chemicals or anything artificial in the final

Frankincense
(called Bahur) was one of the most highly praised substances of
the ancient world. Known simply as encens (incense) in France, the English
word derives from the old French 'franc encens' franc here meaning luxuriant.
Today, commercial grade Frankincense usually comes from Australia. Still,
the best quality is the Arabian one, from Yemen and Oman...
Frankincense is a resin harvested from small shrubs growing in
the hot, dry Arabian climate. It has a calming, soothing effect on the
mind, its comforting action is helpful for conditions of anxiety and obsession
linked to the past. That might explain one of the reasons for the wide
use of Frankincense in religious rituals. It was also widely used for
medicinal purposes.

Fine
Olive oil soap from Aleppo (famous Zenabil factory) is hand made
with plenty of laurel extract and the use of traditional ages-old technique...
Good for delicate, sensitive skin. We tested it ourselves and found
it worth recommending. No artificial aromas or coloring. Not tested
on animals. Nice, green center created by pure olive oil and laurel
extracts looks just great.
